I am Dave Baker of DAB Music.  I teach all styles of guitar, but  Classical guitar is my specialty.  I also teach Latin, Jazz, Rock and Blues.

I teach Lessons to advanced players down to beginners, in my studio in Lafayette Hill, Pa.

My method is designed to teach the student the prerequisites to achieve different levels of desired playing.  This is based on educating a full understanding of chord make up and their alternate positions, scales and arpeggios.  These are the necessary tools needed to succeed in any style of playing.

I studied music and theory at Temple University, and I studied Guitar with the late Denise Sandole  (a mentor to such greats as George Benson and Pat Martino).  I studied arrangement and composition with the late pianist/composer Frank Caruso.

I was the guitarist  for “Sweet Rest” which toured the area with” Hall and Oats”,  lead guitarist for rock/jazz fusion band “High Treason”, with a successful recording on Atlantic Records in 1971 and lead guitarist with “The Dave Baker Sextet”, a jazz band that was a regular performing group on Philadelphia’s jazz radio “WRTI Friday’s” live evening show from 1976 to 1978.  In the eighties, I wrote, arranged and played in the 18 piece big band “Northeast Extension”.

Currently, I perform over 100 times/year at corporate events, wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, rehearsal dinners and private affairs.  My label, DAB Music, has released 5 CD’s since 1995 and receives international airplay.

Please call me for a Free ½ hour lesson. I feel it is important to see if there is a good teacher-student fit. 609-685 2495
